Marie Laurencin (October 31, 1883 - June 8, 1956) was a Parisian painter and engraver.
She was born in Paris, and lived there for her entire life.
Her work, influenced by Picasso, often showed theater scenes. However, her early work mainly depicted young girls. She preferred to work with pastels. Through her friend Guillaume Apollinaire, she knew the main Cubists.
