Sharon den Adel (born July 12, 1974) is the lead singer and one of the songwriters in the Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation. After having given birth to a baby girl, Eva Luna, with her boyfriend and band guitarist Robert Westerholt on December 7th 2005, the pair is taking a break. Within Temptation should be back fairly soon, seeing as their latest DVD The Silent Force Tour has reached chart positions in over 4 countries. She also features on Avantasia: 'The Metal Opera' as one of the eleven vocalists the twin-CD album features. Furthermore, she can be heard on After Forever's debut album "Prison of Desire" (song "Beyond Me"), and on Aemen's album "Fooly Dressed". (song "Time")
