Susan Egan (Born February 18, 1970) is an American actress and singer best known for her work on the Broadway stage. An unknown at the time, she won the coveted role of Belle in the original Broadway cast of Beauty and the Beast. Also on stage, she has won high praise for her portrayal of Maria in regional productions of The Sound of Music. Eagan's voice has been featured in the English language versions of two feature films by legendary Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki as well as the Disney animated feature, Hercules. She reprised the role of Megara in the Disney/Square-Enix video game Kingdom Hearts II.
She was born in Seal Beach, in California. She attended UCLA.
