In the professional field the Tower shows that we are torn out of circumstances that are too limiting for us or away from an inflexible striving for security in order to develop ourselves freely in more lively surroundings. The radical change of this card is usually expressed in the form of either a job termination that we initiate, or of which we are notified. The card can also show the collapse of an enterprise or, in less severe cases, the surprising failure of firm expectations. As threatening as the immediate experience appears to us, as soon as we have freed ourselves from the rubble we sense with a sigh of relief that we have escaped a prison, even if it has been a familiar one.
