General Description
The 7 of Swords shows us the shadow side of the Magician (1), both of them having a golden background in common. The power of perception, the clear-thinking astute mind, is represented here in its negative manner as cunning, maliciousness, baseness, and fraudulence. On a more harmless level, the card can indicate cleverness and craftiness, or the stance of "sneaking away" by not looking, not wanting to believe the truth, evading something, etc. In all of this it is not always clear if we are the con or the prey. Usually we are probably the wrongdoer.
